Effective 1 January 2026
We've kept the cookie position on this site as small and honest as we can. There are no third-party advertising trackers anywhere on Velati, and there is no third-party analytics on the marketing site at the time of writing.
What we actually store
When you respond to the cookie banner at the bottom of the page, we save your choice in your browser's localStorage — specifically under the key velati:cookie-consent. It is a first-party value held on your device and never sent to our servers. Its only job is to stop the banner reappearing on every page load.
The jurisdiction gate at /will/start uses the same mechanism (under velati:domicile and velati:waitlist) to remember a confirmed domicile or a waitlist sign-up. Again, these values are local to your browser unless you sign up for the waitlist, in which case the email address you provide is the only thing transmitted.
What we do not do
We do not run advertising trackers. We do not run third-party analytics on the marketing site as it stands today. If we add analytics in future we will update this page first, surface a granular consent control in the banner, and only enable analytics for visitors who explicitly opt in.
Changing your mind
You can clear the saved choice at any time by clearing site data for velati.co.uk in your browser settings — the banner will then reappear on your next visit. We don't currently expose a separate "cookie preferences" panel because there is, at present, only one choice to make.
